Amblyseius andersoni is a predatory mite of various red four-claw species. If there is no red spider mite, it can survive by eating pollen and other insects, which allows it to establish itself in the crop in the absence of a pest. Therefore, it is recommended to be used in preventive strategies against the species to be combated.
Recommendations and Doses
Preventive admissions of 10000 or more of individuals / sq. are recommended in several weekly releases, even reaching relaxed rates of 20000-30000 individuals / sq. depending on the degree of infestation.
This mite is active from 8-10ºC, maintaining its aggressive activity with high temperatures up to 35-40ºC.
